住吉の水車（復元）
A restored water wheel in Sumiyoshi

Oct 26, 2003 　近世から，六甲山地山麓の傾斜変換点には数多くの水車が設けられていた。往事は主に灘の酒造米の精白に用いられていた。昭和42年の水害で最後の水車もなくなったが，近年，地元住民が山田公民館の横に小型の水車を復元した。実際に使用されているとのこと。植木の植わっている鉢はかつての水車用の臼，建物の塀に使われている穴の開いた板は水車の予備の部材をこのように用意していたのを現代風にアレンジしたもの。なお，当時の水車は数十メートル下流にあった。   There were many water wheels on the foot of Rokko Mts. They were used polishing rice for sake brewering iat the Nada district. This wheel was restored recently beside the Yamada Public Hall by the inhabitant of the Yamanda district. They sometime use it. The bowls which have plants are old mortars of water wheels. The wood fence was constructed as the image of old fence. A board with some holes was a spare part of wheel.
