 May 14, 2003京都府宇治市 淀川水系の洪水を防ぐために，1964年に建設されたダム。増水時に琵琶湖水系からの流出を調整する。1953年の台風13号による増水で宇治川や芥川河口で堤防決壊し，京都府宇治市，大阪府高槻市などで外水氾濫を起こしたことがきっかけとなって建設された。 Uji City, Kyoto Pref. This dam was constructed in 1964 to protect against flood in Yodo River basin. It controls runoff from the basin of Lake Biwa when it floods. In 1953, the flood which caused by Typhoon 5313 broke down levees in Uji River (Uji City, Kyoto Pref.) and the mouth of Akuta River (Takatsuki City, Osaka Pref.). So, the dam was planned. |
